Dr. Gengel grew up in Bellevue, Nebraska. After High School, he attended the University of Nebraska, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. Dentistry brought him to Glendale, Arizona, where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University before moving to East Texas.

Dr. Gengel is passionate about helping patients achieve optimal dental health while providing a comfortable and relaxed experience. He is committed to treating each person’s unique needs to help them understand and enjoy their dental care. Because dentistry is ever-changing, he understands the importance of keeping up with the newest research and technology. He dedicates much of his time to being a lifelong student by attending continuing education courses to ensure his patients receive the highest-quality care possible.

Dr. Gengel and his wife, Rayann, enjoy their lives with four cats and two dogs. Outside of work, they enjoy the outdoors. Some of their favorite activities are spending time at the lake, hiking, traveling, and relaxing with family and friends.
