A real patient story
Real answers
A real path forward
I’m Sammy Lou. My dental journey was long, painful, and nothing like what you see online. I tried temporary solutions, dentures, mini implants, and snap dentures, hoping each one would finally be the answer. For years, I felt like I was constantly starting over, trying to fix one problem after another.
Today, I finally have my Diamond Level Ultimate Smile. After everything I had been through, I can honestly say this was about so much more than teeth. It was about finally feeling like myself again.
If you’re struggling with your smile, I want you to know you are not alone. Right now, you may be able to qualify for up to $2,500 off your Ultimate Smile. Take the survey below and see what’s possible. 👇

My dental journey didn’t happen overnight. I had pretty rough dental care as a kid, and a lot of things were missed early on. Then, during my pregnancy, I became severely anemic, which had a major impact on my teeth and overall health. I cracked and broke the dental work I already had, and everything just started getting worse.
Eventually, my natural teeth were no longer salvageable. I went through full extractions and entered the world of dentures, which nobody truly prepares you for. I thought losing my teeth would be the hardest part, but living through what came after was its own kind of hard. The pain, the insecurity, the disappointment, and the constant feeling of wondering if I would ever feel like myself again.
Living with dentures was hard in ways most people never see.
There was the pain. The raw, sore spots that never seemed to heal. The way the plates rubbed and shifted no matter how many times they were adjusted. Some days just putting them in felt like bracing for impact.
Eating was a gamble. Food that used to be easy became stressful. I worried about biting wrong, about them slipping, about not being able to chew at all. Talking didn’t feel natural either. I was always aware of how they sat in my mouth, always hoping they wouldn’t move at the wrong moment.
And the process never really ended. I bounced between temporary dentures, relines, remakes, and endless appointments, chasing something that finally felt right but never quite getting there. Each “fix” came with new discomfort and new disappointment.
It wasn’t just inconvenient. It was exhausting. And it slowly chipped away at my confidence, my comfort, and my sense of normalcy. At that point, I knew I didn’t just need another adjustment. I needed to understand what my real options were.

I later pursued mini implants because I was told that was my permanent solution. I held onto that word permanent like a promise. I thought it meant stability, relief, and finally being done with the struggle.
What I learned the hard way is that permanent doesn’t mean problem-free.
I had mini implants placed, then broken prosthetics. Dentures that were supposed to fit over them didn’t. Nothing lined up the way it was promised. I kept being told it would be fixed, adjusted, or redone, but every “solution” brought another setback.
Then everything fell apart. The provider situation collapsed, and suddenly I was left in limbo. At one point, I had mini implants in my mouth but no usable teeth to wear. I couldn’t eat normally. I couldn’t smile. I couldn’t even function the way a person should.
That was one of the lowest points of my journey. I had done everything I was told to do, invested so much hope and trust, and still ended up without something as basic as teeth.

What I learned the hard way is that permanent doesn’t always mean problem-free. I had mini implants placed, then broken prosthetics. Dentures that were supposed to fit over them didn’t work the way I was promised they would. Nothing lined up the way I expected, and instead of feeling secure, I kept ending up disappointed.
Then everything fell apart. The provider situation changed, and suddenly I was left in limbo. At one point, I had mini implants in my mouth but no usable teeth to wear. I couldn’t eat normally. I couldn’t smile. I couldn’t even function the way I needed to as a person and as a mom.
That was one of the lowest points of my journey. I had done everything I was told to do, invested so much hope and trust, and still ended up without something as basic as teeth.
That’s when I found Texas Sedation Dental & Implant Center. They immediately looked at my mini implants and helped me start over the right way. For the first time in years, I finally felt like I had a real plan, not just another temporary fix.
I started with my Platinum Level Ultimate Smile while everything was healing and settling. Then I moved into my Diamond Level Ultimate Smile, my final smile. After everything I had been through, finally getting to that point felt unreal.
When I got home and showed my daughter, she looked at me and said, “Wow Mom, your teeth look real.” After everything I had been through, hearing that from her meant more than I can explain. It was the moment my final smile finally felt real to me, too.
Today, I can smile without second-guessing myself. I understand maintenance. I understand setbacks. I understand realistic expectations. And most importantly, I understand what patients actually go through.
If you’re terrified to start, overwhelmed by options, or feeling like a failure because your dental journey hasn’t gone smoothly, you are not alone. This isn’t just about teeth. It’s about dignity, confidence, and getting your life back.

I know how overwhelming this can feel when you have already been through so much. Maybe you have been told dentures are your only option. Maybe you tried something that was supposed to be permanent, but it still did not give you the comfort, confidence, or stability you were hoping for. I know what that feels like.
For me, finally getting my Diamond Level Ultimate Smile was about more than having new teeth. It was about being able to smile without thinking about it, show up in photos, and feel like myself again. That moment when I got home and showed my daughter, and she loved it, reminded me why this mattered so much.
There’s no pressure and no obligation. Just a chance to get honest answers, real options, and support from people who understand what this journey can feel like. You may even qualify for up to $2,500 off your Ultimate Smile.
You deserve more than another temporary fix. You deserve a future you can smile about.
